We're passionate about building. We want our clients' experience to be the same as ours: fun, enjoyable, something to look forward to. Building locally is our guarantee, because the people we build for could be our neighbours. That's held us to a higher standard than any contract ever could.
The team has grown since 2016. Every person on it was hired for the same values we started with — trust, communication, care — and we've built company processes around those values so the small-town experience scales anywhere in New Zealand.

Built Local delivered the full renovation of our CrossFit HWPO facility in Te Aroha – transforming a derelict, high-profile building into a high-performance training space.
The 400m2 project involved a complete reclad and internal fit-out, including new flooring, wall linings, cladding, bathrooms and a fire-rate wall to meet specific fire design requirements. It was a substantial upgrade with tight timeframes and a high standard expected across every aspect of the build.

In 2025 we had Built Local build a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom replacement farm house. Due to the site and timeline this was constructed at their yard and trucked to the farm the first week of June, completed inside and out for our new staff.
Form the start Sam and the team worked with the plumbers/electricians/architect/council and moving team to ensure the build and move onto site went smoothly. Constant communication and invitations to check on progress kept us up to date on progress and the quality of workmanship and finishing was excellent.
We also engaged them to contruct a 17x9x3.5m pole shed and once again the workmanship and quality of the build is excellent.
We have no hesitation in recommending Sam and the team at Built Local, especially if a replacement home is needed on a specific date which can be built offsite and moved into place.
